In order to get to Coron, Palawan, there are two main modes of transportation that can be utilized: air travel and sea travel. If you’re looking for the most convenient and fastest way to reach Coron, then an airplane ride is suggested as the most suitable option.

Getting to Coron, Palawan depends on a lot of factors or situation you are in. You need to consider the place you are coming from, the people you are travelling with, your budget, and your your overall preference.

Getting to Coron By Plane

There are 3 major airline carriers that offer daily flights to Busuanga Airport (USU). The Busuanga Airport is locally known as Francisco B. Reyes Airport named after the Mayor of Coron who served from 1936 to 1939. He donated the land where the current airport was built.

The three major airline carriers that fly to the Busuanga Airport are SkyJetCebu Pacific, and the Philippine Airlines. Direct flights from Manila to Coron only takes about an hour.

If you are coming from other cities in the Philippines, you may find flights to Coron from that airport, however, it has one stop in Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) before it flies to Coron. The downside of this is it is highly time consuming because it will take about 4 to 6 hours to get to Coron.

Manila to Coron via 2Go Travel Ferry

If you hate the hassles of going through security checks of the airport, we recommend 2Go Travel to get to Coron if you are coming from Manila. This is the same ferry company that goes to Puerto Princesa, Palawan. It stops in Coron before sailing away again to Puerto Princesa. 

The departure time in Manila is 4:00PM and the arrival time in Coron is 5:00AM the following morning. Depending on the weather and sea conditions, it takes about 13 hours to get to Coron.

Including all taxes and port fees, a one-way fare for one person costs around P2,800 for the cheapest rate. You have an option to upgrade your room to a cabin for a more private room. Rate can go up to P3,300 per person.

Manila to Coron Via Atienza Shipping Lines

Atienza Shipping Lines now offer passenger services leaving Manila at around 8:00PM and 10PM (please check with the company the exact time of departure for your chosen date).  You may reach them at 0928-457-7623.

El Nido to Coron Via Ferry

If you are coming from El Nido, your best option is via the Atienza Shipping Lines and Montenegro Lines.

Regular fare as of this posting is P2,200 per person (Montenegro Shipping Line). Contact Atienza Shipping Lines to check the price because they do not post it on their social media accounts, but it is usually around the same price.
